THE
MIS-PLACED PEARL
Having passed
through the "Pearly
Gates"
he found himself ambling down a Golden
Street. There on his lift stood The
Tree of Life. On his right, in all its splendor,
was The Tree of
Knowledge. Flowing between them was a beautiful, crystal clear stream of
water coming from the stream of God. The Golden Street
crossed this stream. When passing between the
two trees, a visitor could, at a specific paint,
get fruit from both trees. A Pearl
was laying right in the center of the Golden
road. It was given by a special angel who kept it with light.
When our traveler came to the Pearl,
she looked at it and grumbled to herself, and
said to
others who would listen to her muttering saying, "This Pearl
has no business HERE. Who ever heard of such a dumb thing? This
Pearl
should be at the Gates!
Who ever designed this street did it wrong. A golden street is no place
for a Pearl! I it should be at the
Gate! and at the Gate
only! I am going to tell God about
this mistake. Meanwhile, I'll just take it with me to show Him how stupid
this design is." And with that she stooped
down to pick it up. As she reached for it, she
kept saying, "What
is this Pearl
doing
here out of place!"
As she touched
the Pearl
, a voice behind her said, What are YOU
doing HERE?
Moral:
Even the Lord will have to be careful lest a meddler, who thinks it
should be done his way, slips through "The
Pearly Gates! still trying to change he's "own
things" with his back to the "Throne of God", no less!!)
